How do I pick a location for my photoshoot?
We will chat about this during the initial stages of planning your session! If there is a specific location* you have in mind, we will talk about if it’s the best place to take the photos. If you need help selecting a location, as your experienced Indiana photographer, I have plenty of ideas I can offer you! We will talk about the overall vibe of your session and then select a location based on that.
*Locations farther than 30 miles away may be subjected to travel fees.

When should I expect my photos?
My turnaround time for getting your edited photos back to you can vary based on what season we are in but on average I can get your photos back to you within 3 weeks. I will also let you know an exact amount of time ahead of time though!

Help! I don’t know what to wear!
Never fear! I can help you plan out what to wear based on what looks best on camera, the setting, and the season. You are also always more than welcome to send me pictures of your outfit options and I will give you my professional opinion. For my maternity/motherhood client’s I offer a small client closet of dresses for you to choose from as well!

We’re so awkward in front of the camera. Can you help with that?
100%! You wouldn’t believe how many times I have had individuals/couples tell me this and I promise with my help, you will be surprised with how “not awkward” you end up looking in your photos.

Can you retouch my body?
I offer basic retouching on my photos such as removing blemishes/stains on clothing or teeth whitening but I do not offer any type of body modification editing. If you are insecure about a certain part of your body, I can work to pose you in a way that is most flattering but other than that, I will not change your body in any way during the editing process.

Do I have to pay for extra photos?
All the photos I send to you in your gallery are yours to keep. Unlike some photography companies, I don’t make you pay for additional photos so whatever I deem “editable” will be edited and put in your gallery.

Where should I get my photos printed?
I recommend getting your photos printed through a professional printing company so in other words, avoid places like Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, and even Costco. They don’t use professional grade printers so they’re notorious for having prints come out looking differently or lower quality than what the photos actually are and nothing is worse than spending good money on getting your photos taken just to have the prints look bad. One local company you can use is Robert’s Camera and then there are a couple websites I recommend as well such as MPix and Miller’s Printing Lab.

Can I have all the RAW (unedited) pictures you took?
I do not give or sell the RAW (unedited) photos under any circumstance, for multiple reasons. One of which is because during our session, I will take a TON of photos and many of them may not be deliverable due to unflattering poses, lighting, focus, etc. I go through and edit every single image that is worth editing and give those to you so you don’t have to sift to the “shit.” Another reason I don’t give out RAW images is because of the large file size. Many personal computers aren’t able to support the RAW files I used. Lastly, RAW files are not given out because they are not an accurate representation of my work overall.
